| On the first floor of our cottage in Belves, Périgord Noir, is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and a sitting area with TV and telephone. This bedroom has an outstanding view over the Nauze valley and the eastern end of Belves, the mediaeval village. The second bedroom, on the same floor, has a double bed. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom on this level has a shower, WC, hand basin and washing machine. The garden below has some fragrant herbs, a fig tree and flowers and shrubs. There is a stone terrace under the balcony. The lower floor has an entrance hall that leads to a sitting room on the left. The sitting room has two two-seaters and a convertible divan. Internet is available in the cottage. On the right is the living/dining room that is open to the modern kitchen with a gas stove and microwave oven. This room opens out on to the balcony where meals can be enjoyed while overlooking the countryside, part of the village of Belves with its interesting mediaeval architecture and the Belvois tending their village gardens. The bathroom is also at this level and comprises a shower, WC and hand basin. The house is managed locally by an French lady who speaks English
